When I was 16 years old the idea of studying and playing squash in the US was brought to me by my squash coach at the time. It was intriguing, but incredibly daunting at the same time. My father and I began navigating the application process alone, from essay writing, financial aid applications, to SAT prep, and creating connections. To say it was challenging and isolating would be an understatement. We navigated through the process alone and would spend hours researching and talking through our options with no one to fall back on but each other. The idea for this company was born from that experience. I've spent the last 10 years guiding young people and their families through the next step of their education so they don't have to do it alone. I want to show more hard working individuals what is possible when you go beyond your comfort zone.
At the age of 17 I began my basketball career. With encouragement from my parents and coach I looked at the possibility of attending university in the United States. I found the whole process extremely intimadating and would probably have shelved the idea if I didn't have the help that was needed. From studying for the SAT's, the recruitment calls, different forms of scholarships and of course what to study, the whole process appeared to be way too much for me to navigate on my own. From my own personal experiences, I would have appreciated as much assistance as possible to help guide me, and especially my parents through the whole US university application process. I was able to gain a scholarship and attended Mercer University and it was an incredible time in my life that I will never forget. Over the past 5 years I have assisted numerous athletes gain scholarships in the US, and I am passionate about aiding the next generation of student/athletes on the next step of their academic and athletic journey. With the help and guidance from CE Advising you will never feel like you have to go through this alone.
